چکیده

The introduction of automated parcel locker (APL) systems is one possible approach to improve urban logistics (UL) activities. Based on the city Dortmund as case study, we propose a simulation-optimization integrating system dynamics simulation model (SDSM) with multi-period capacitated facility location problem (CFLP). We this integrated decision support tool for future APL implementations last-mile distribution scheme. First, built causal-loop and stock-flow diagram show main components interdependencies systems. Then, formulated CFLP determine optimal number APLs each period. Finally, used Monte Carlo estimate costs reliability level random demands. evaluate three e-shopper rate scenarios SDSM, then analyze ten detailed demand configurations based results middle-size scenario our model. After 36 months, increases from 99 165 growing demand, stabilizes in all month 24. A middle-demand configuration, which has total about 750,000€, already locates suitable APLs. If budget lower, offers alternatives decision-makers.

Facility Location Problems with Random Demands in a Competitive Environment

This paper proposes a new location problem of competitive facilities, e.g. shops and stores, with uncertain demands in the plane. By representing the demands for facilities as random variables, the location problem is formulated to a stochastic programming problem, and for finding its solution, three deterministic programming problems: expectation maximizing problem, probability maximizing prob...

Facility Location and Inventory Balancing in a Multi-period Multi-echelon Multi-objective Supply Chain: An MOEA Approach

A comprehensive and integrated study of any supply chain (SC) environment is a vital requirement that can create various advantages for the SC owners. This consideration causes productive managing of the SC through its whole wide components from upstream suppliers to downstream retailers and customers.  On this issue, despite many valuable studies reported in the current literature, considerabl...

Facility Location Problem with Fuzzy Random Demands

Three types of fuzzy random programming for capacitated location-allocation problem with fuzzy random demands are proposed according to different criteria, including the expected value model, chanceconstrained programming and dependent-chance programming. Finally, integrating the network simplex algorithm, fuzzy random simulation and genetic algorithm, a hybrid intelligent algorithm is produced...
